1. My heart struck Saada's tent
Before shedding my blood on the valley's slope

2. She made me drink sorrows, so who is there for me?
The envious broke its poles out of spite

3. As if I and she are lovers
Affectionate, intimate, persisting

4. Parting toyed with her and I, so for her and me
There is news that burned my liver without flint

5. The paths of communication between us became rugged
So I became a companion of distance and remoteness

6. One who stayed in Mecca had no excuse
To not talk to me about Saada

7. She sent me from Hijaz her image
What a difference between her lands and mine!

8. O you who returned my pain of pining
And I see you, but don't see you at the reunion

9. And when will I visit you after
Bearing your separation burdened my weak body?

10. Demand your right if you have power and pardon generously
It is the manner of the honorable, and if you capture then ransom

11. Stop the rider even for a glance
At Rabba's camp or are you, O guide, leaving?

12. And repeat your talk about Abtah's valley in Mecca
And about the caravan, does it go or return?

13. A joy for onlookers appeared to us
Between Suwayqah market and Jiad

14. She hunted the minds of the refined ladies with snares
Not with the hunter's snares

15. And beauties whose first signs
Were of perfect gowns for residents and nomads

16. The friends hovered around her abode
Yet they hovered over a blazing liver

17. The clouds poured on the ruins, Zamzam
And on the plains of Naga and Wahad

18. The soft breeze blew with a soft fragrance
So a waft of musk and perfume diffuse

19. A country its lands were ennobled and honored
By Muhammad, the guiding full moon

20. The misguided passed with guidance
And the wrongful and atheists were humiliated

21. A moon that illuminated the light the night he was born
From Mecca to Damascus or Baghdad

22. A moon that protected the true faith with his sword
With honor, achieving precedence over all strife

23. A moon that destroyed the pagans, their chiefs
Their resolves failed against the lions

24. A moon who quenched with his palm the great army
A stream that removed all hearts' anguish

25. He is the most noble of Arabs in glorious distinction
And most deserving to rise above glories

26. He is the sun of lofty Abd Manaf
Mudar, his ancestry upon ancestries

27. He transcended the highest seven heavens
And the Throne, according to authentic narrations

28. In majesty, his Master told him
"Ask what you wish, you are the best of My servants."

29. He is the best of people, perfected through him
Sons, fathers, and forefathers

30. He is the master of the two races, mankind and jinn
Without equal in valor and loneliness

31. He is the most generous of the generous, if
The wind of tolerance blew at him, most generous

32. He is my treasure, my refuge and hope
My pillar, my weaponry and supplies

33. He is Ahmad the Guide, the fighter who
Quenches with his pool the thirsty pilgrim

34. Beneath the Throne he prostrates interceding
For people on the Day they are gathered for Judgement

35. He is the one under whose banner shade
All people, messengers, and witnesses will flock

36. He is the pillar of nations, that had he not been
Among them, they would have no pillar

37. He is the defeater of peers in his conquests
And destroyer of tens in single combats

38. I did not hope to be guided from my misguidance
Except that I found through it reform of my loss

39. My Master, take my hand and fulfill my needs
And show me kindness, respond when I call

40. Accept your humble, deficient servant
With little piety, meager provision

41. I carried my feeble soul's burden and busied myself
Between friends and foes

42. In the tent, my supports collapsed from my stumbling
And for the disobedient is the ambush of fire

43. The breadth of Your bounty, O Muhammad, is my protection
And my adequacy, guidance, and proper path

44. So brace the ties of Your servant ar-Rahim with mercy
Whereby he will attain the best resting place amid the Resurrection

45. Make Your hands his protection, and his family
Companions, fathers, and children

46. For You are more impregnable than any refuge
In the abode of my dwelling and return

47. And bestow on me a Prophet's breath
By which I obtain the goal of my wish and desire

48. And perfect bounties connected to perfect bounties
And subtle kindnesses and hands

49. And hear the jewels of Arabic letters
Presented to You in recited chant

50. Rise up for their sayer and companion, for he has
Singled You out as he blocked the visitors

51. So may You see them as a delegation to You, to gain
My Master, the honor of visitors

52. And take care of the weak writer, and be for him
A hand of help against any stubbornness

53. Upon You, O Muhammad, the flag of guidance
Wherever the quarters of settled abode face

54. And upon Your noble companions, the blossoms, whenever
A caller calls: Come to prayer!
