1. May relief come from the hidden kindness of the Glorious, with grace
The Generous has compassion, and compassion is His trait

2. May a look of mercy come from the Subtle Maker
Upon one abandoned by kith, kin and companions dear

3. May deliverance come soon from Allah
To gladden the anguished, when afflicted by yearning

4. May the foreigner find care and kindness
And righteousness from the Creator, when living is not serene

5. May a individual breath, divine
With it needs are met, and unity binds

6. So I complained to Allah, He removes my plight
What plight except His, that it may be relieved

7. Of the days' afflictions, my heart tortured
My soul pained, before the final breath of death

8. Though I accept what Allah decreed for me, even if
I clung to the edge, not satiated, parched of thirst

9. Yet I think the best of my Master, though
On a perilous edge from which my Lord delivers

10. But I called on Allah to remove my sorrow
For what sorrow except His, that can be removed

11. How many hands of evil reached for me
But the All-Sufficient said: no more, stay your hands

12. How many times the days conspired against me
But aid came, foiling harm and evil plans

13. I sought refuge in Allah, when no shade but His grace
In His good pleasure, though feeble am I

14. Poor and destitute, but by His strength sustained
Though weak, His subtle mercies e'er abide

15. In remoteness, the humble servant finds gentleness
That pens and pages could never hide

16. How Allah's spirit moves through creation! How
Many glance, ere turning away the eyes

17. By might He tightened passions' reins, yet heavens
Remain above the earth, a roof sublime

18. He who established the Throne and settled
Upon the Throne, angels all around

19. He spread the earth, by His grace made
The living and dead to settle and rest

20. Cast mountains firm, anchors against quaking
With no fear of predetermined collapse

21. Adorned it in silks of verdant garb
Matchless, unique, every plant and grass

22. Made clouds when spread, heavy rains to pour
Drenching, quilted, clouds in folds

23. Germinated each seed, made
Fathers, basil, seeds and chaff

24. Knows the path of every creeping, crawling thing
What they divulge of sins or hide

25. By pebbles, drops and sprouts in earth
And dots however few or many the sum

26. Knows the ant's steps in night, though it scurry or stall
Weighs mountains' tons and atoms' grains

27. Fathoms oceans, unfathomable, boundless
Wondrous, infinite, His dominion and rule

28. Beyond count, beyond any description
Glory to Him! Aims for His sake alone

29. Needing nor fitting any help
The six directions cannot contain His essence

30. Where can above, in front or behind be?
My God, lighten my missteps and heedlessness

31. In pardon, for errors violence breed
I shed my self-restraint, then came to You

32. For pardon - who but You can pardon?
You are my help in every disaster

33. My solace, when no cave remains in the world
How many accompanied me, but to be

34. False friends, companions whose goodwill runs dry
I never intended friendship with people

35. Who forsake when called, conceal and pretend
Wolves in fine garbs, hearts blind

36. Signs of hypocrisy, falsity and fraud
My Master, keep me far from them

37. Till the one and all submit
Raise my status, make my name in protecting them

38. So I morph all things rightly as is deserved
You are my Benefactor and from You all bounty

39. When goodwill is condemned and custom forgotten
Confirm me in knowledge and wisdom from You

40. Felicity preordained for me
Support with the letters K and N my argument

41. So for me precedes all good things as is destined
Say: you succeeded, O servant, in My mercy

42. Forgiveness, when angels stand in rows
For my sake, be generous to those who follow me

43. Safety from hellfire when fail all else
And bless the soul of the Beloved Muhammad

44. With a salutation that illuminates and connects
And his wives, Family and Companions alike

45. As long as the ardour of the camel caravans flow
