1. The sumac thrived in your shade
So flourish, O brother of the moon

2. Your face today is radiant
Unmarred by any sorrows

3. So remove any discontent
And mingle amongst us

4. And remove any glitter
That hurts the eyes

5. People have selves
That harm and do evil

6. And spying eyes
That shoot out sparks

7. Whenever someone moves
They turn over his tracks

8. So beware of their plots
And be cautious of their harm

9. God has tested whom He tested
So keep trying and He will judge

10. So leave those who refused
And stick with those who persevered

11. The one who shunned you
Lost the best deal

12. We intended guidance for him
Not false promises

13. I swear by He who sufficed
His party against harm from others

14. God knows we never wanted
To ignore an oblivious person

15. We are in the company of good
We have no other refuge or shelter

16. We endured harm for it
And braved dangers for it

17. And we gained through it
Whatever saddened or gladdened us

18. And goodness has rough roads
That a traveling shepherd crossed

19. While evil has slippery ground
Where no stumbler can stand

20. And people are like stars
In times of adversity or joy

21. And their deeds are like their forms
In images and pictures

22. Goodness has an image
That captivates the eyes

23. O time, you are but
A tablet where good is recorded

24. He who drew good in you
Left nothing good un traced

25. O noble ones, be honored
A guest came your club

26. Its arena, streets and stones welcomed you
And a good reception was set up for you

27. Food is served in our meadow
Amidst the blossoming flowers

28. While arguments are like bows around us
And prevention is like war

29. Come let's call to its bright side
And the goodness will flourish

30. Do not stint in supporting it
In its greatest tasks

31. Do not neglect to ignite it
It settles for consent

32. Do not fear any harm with it
It is your protection and armour

33. Woe to a people who did not beware
God's wrath in Hellfire

34. Heedless of what God forbade or ordered
The insights challenged them with verses and lessons

35. We will guide with its light
All who deviated or disbelieved

36. And pride ourselves on our path under it
Above the stars of sorcerers

37. We hastened our steps for it
And sharpened our minds for it

38. O Muslims do not break
A covenant you have broken

39. Make peace with whoever transgressed
Or was aggressive in disputes

40. It suffices us in our struggle
That destiny is in our army

41. You were the best nation
God brought out for mankind

42. Neither fear nor grieve
For your future is victory
