1. Praise be to the One who aids and shelters in truth,
Before whose face all other faces seem insignificant.

2. Glory be to Him who restrains the strong from harming others,
And who protects the weak from harm and gives them refuge.

3. The Almighty, the Omnipotent, above His servants,
Who can deceive the Almighty, the Omnipotent?

4. Who can change the decree of the One besides the Almighty,
He who knows the unseen and determines all matters.

5. He made the divine laws as pleasing paths,
And the prophets as guides for the righteous.

6. And He especially granted Muhammad abundant gifts,
So he was the chosen, the final seal.

7. He gave him a Quran that calls to guidance,
That separates judgements and news.

8. And a law that gives rights equally,
To people without discrimination or monopoly.

9. A sun rose from the sacred horizon,
So the night of the two worlds became radiant.

10. A shining white proof—whoever does not cling
To its hem will lose direction and become confused.

11. How often has the party of God felt secure within it,
Guiding people and opening cities.

12. Until the inhabited world fell under its banner,
And became a protected sanctuary for Muslims.

13. Never will Muslims and their faith be disgraced,
The flag of eternity shades all lands.

14. Tell those who shoot arrows to catch their prey,
Throw down your arrows for your prey has flown.

15. O swift aid of God, hasten to us
Quietly and lift up the burdens.

16. All lands enjoy prosperity,
Except for Algeria—it faces fire.

17. The brothers contend with harm to each other,
One transgresses, the other seeks revenge.

18. Poverty spreads, so women wander
Toiling confusedly to earn a living.

19. They even sacrifice their honor to obtain it,
Just to feed their young children.

20. Oh what dishonor for men!
Are they unaware or simply drunk?

21. Your ancestors paved the way to glory—
Why do you not follow in their footsteps?

22. Why do you not abandon your delusions
And free your minds from those chains?

23. Be mightier than the mighty,
Be greater than the arrogant.

24. Be steadfast mountains in your resilience,
Be fortified citadels in your defense.

25. Your children are your successors after you
So engender generosity and excellent descendants.

26. Do not abandon them confused and helpless,
Strengthen them against evils and provide their needs.

27. The means of living have narrowed for them
And poverty threatens them from all sides.

28. And I see that men of wealth among us
Are tools for evil, neither farmers nor traders.

29. They know nothing of proper money management
Except miserliness and deprivation.

30. Most wretched of God’s servants are those ungrateful for wealth,
And most disgraced are those who worship money.

31. O people! After slumber, is there any awakening?
How many sleepers heard the call and rose up?

32. Do not despair - God has made glory and esteem
Go around, just as He created the cycles of existence.

33. So perhaps after disgrace, there will be honor,
And after hardship, there will be ease.
