The affliction of servants

And opposite of intentions

The loss of my endeavor

10. And my trust in my fate
Due to my foolish belief

11. And from the excess of my idiocy
My generosity with my provision

12. And my seeking righteousness
In the land of corruption

13. And my exposing myself
In the market of recession

14. This is the land, cradle
Of all maladies

15. I see the harm of Zayd in it
More than the increase of Ziyad

16. And Sa'd's thinking in it
Of happiness

17. I see misguidance spreading
In it, on the rise

18. And in religion an invitation
To the right guide

19. And for Allah two kinds of kindness
Feared and far-reached

20. So no seeker of Him
Has missed His company

21. To Allah belongs the affair so be patient
In the abode of trials

22. For all belongings in it
Are prone to loss

23. Time's war is
Against the free spirits

24. And your generation is tempted
To reject favors

25. Fear God and watch over
The reward of the Hereafter
