2. If they differ in beauty and ugliness of form
They do not differ in the oneness of the animal

3. And how can you distinguish a thing except by its opposite?
That's why you see the two opposites paired

4. Contemplate, you see opposites in every creature
So much ugliness paired with beauty

5. Man sees it in every event
And in everything seen everywhere

6. So submit to Him who enacted as He willed
A wondrous law since ancient times
