6. Abdelhamid was a leader of righteousness
With a pure heart, merciful to people

7. Folding pride over the conflict of vanities
Turning away from it, reconciling disharmony

8. Lofty in knowledge, in soul and lesson
Umarite in wisdom and inspiration

9. He lived dedicated to Algeria and Islam
Protecting them, amid difficulties

10. And jealous of Sharia, refusing
Other than its legislation, to resolve disputes

11. And jealous of Arabism, spreading
Its pronunciation, articulating it in speech

12. And jealous of Algeria, communally
At the core of the elite peoples

13. Hardships did not stop him from serving the people
Nor did the pain of tribulations stop him

14. No, nor did the tyranny of oppression terrify him
Nor plotting under the wings of darkness

15. So when instabilities shook it
His anger shook like clashing swords

16. And when hardships intensified, we saw
Him roar like thunder with might

17. Abdelhamid was a guiding pole in opinion
A guide to minds and understandings

18. The example of (Abdelhamid) designed from it
A straight path for leaders of pens

19. He purified poetry for struggle and advised
Rising above soiling it with passion

20. And avoiding eccentricity of words
And avoiding ambiguity and obscurity

21. Oh son of Ben Badis, father of the people, rise and look
Proudly at your resolute people

22. Rise, you will find your former negligent people
Have marched a stretch with the rising nations

23. Rise, you will find the state of Algeria established
And established free rule

24. Rise, you will find the flag of Algeria flying
Above all the lands and peaks

25. The revolution that sprang from you
When the wick of embers caught fire grew up

26. And its causes became stable, so all
Our melodies turned into anthems

27. The army of liberation in it repelled the powers of aggression
And returned the nest to the eagles

28. How can Algeria forget today the sacrifice
You took to heart in status

29. The day you confronted with defense (Delady)
As he was snarling with threats of revenge

30. You said with the cannon you transgressed, and it suffices me
A cannon which God makes its shooter

31. A decisive stand you protested with
In the face of an oppressor raging like a sword

Or like Umar and Al-'Izz ibn 'Abd al-Salam

34. Or like Ya'qub, and Ibn Ya'mar Yahya
And Ibn Taymiyyah, the jurist of Levant

35. Thus the imams before declared
The sword of their rejection of injustice

36. Woe to those who angered God and pleased
The desires of oppressive rulers

37. Oh son of Ben Badis, this group of truth
Honors your memory each year

38. And celebrates (April), the month you passed away
Thanking you with respect

39. Your memory is an Arab patriotic
National appointment for us, very crowded

40. Your memory awakens awareness in the people
Like the awakening of souls in bodies

41. Abdelhamid's people, here they are, loyal
Cleaving to Abdelhamid with honor

42. His soul fluttered over you and confided
In you, so it stirred you to shed tears

43. It adopted you with innocence and raised
You with advice like a caring father

44. Do not lose what you inherited from him of glory
And be in it rightly guided of dreams

45. What you accomplish of his great projects
Is an extension of his endless glory

46. And the strength of nations is decent character
Upright, so be strong in stature

47. And with piety of God, you will be strengthened
Take it as provision for eternal home

48. Our lives preoccupied us from their purpose
So we forgot the fates of days

49. There is no salvation but repentance
In a life laden with sins

50. Lord, accept our repentance and pardon us
And make us content and good ending
