1. I will settle in my home, content with my livelihood,
A companion to my books, drawing on their light.

2. And I will go out from my home to teach the youths,
Sheltering them in a school nestled in my care.

3. If education bears fruit in them,
That will be the greatest joy my soul can know.

4. And if not, my reward is the integrity
Of my soul and the merit earned for the attempt.
