1. Does Asku dwell in Ramah - is there no village there?
For Night has lodged a guest, well pleased and satisfied.
١. أَسُكَّانَ رَامَه هَل مِن قِرَى
فَقَد دَفَع اللَّيلُ ضَيفاً قَنُوعَا
2. Sufficient for his need that ye spread out for him
A glance, some talk, and hospitality unstinting;
٢. كَفَاهُ مِنَ الزَّادِ أن تمهدُوا
لَهُ نَظَراً وَكَلاَماً وَسِيعَا
3. Then with the cup of love did dawn the feast begin;
So every morrow for its brother is as one new-born.
٣. ثملٌ نَشَاوَى بِكَأسِ الغَرَامِ
فَكُلُّ غَدَا لأخِيهِ رَضيعَا
