1. If you seek provision and wish to attain your goal
Whether you be slave or free

2. And you quickly obtain what you hope for
And are safe from opposition and excuses

3. Then the Opening Chapter, for in it
Is, whatever I have dictated, a secret like no other

4. Recite it after the night prayer
And in the morning, afternoon, and evening

5. And after sunset each night
Up to ninety, followed by ten more

6. You will attain whatever you wish of might and glory
And great awe and lofty rank

7. And a veil that the nights do not change
With any diminishing event

8. And continuous success and joys
And safety from all fears of evil

9. And from nakedness, hunger, and destitution
And from the tyranny of one with prohibitions and commands
