1. The trait of Arabness is to be steadfast and diligent
And the nature of Islam is to prevail

2. The former does not lower its wings
Nor does the latter desire anything but supremacy

3. It raised souls above pettiness and protected them
From fearing or dreading their enemy

4. The religion of chivalry and manliness has not been eroded
By the raging floods of death, so as to be intimidated

5. The faithful in ordeals are brothers
Who recognize none but the Book as their father

6. Ask them, by the honor of fatherhood, whether they observed
What the ethics of life made obligatory and necessary

7. A home dispersed in the countries and a family
Whose entity was cracked by time, so it branched out

8. And the building weakened, so havoc wreaked
Its gaps, destroying and devastating

9. The seriousness of time and its course refused to let us play
Who sees his blood as more honorable

10. Than to dye the rubbled earth of Palestine?
I exalted when loyalty survived and did not survive

11. In its land the trace of Al-Buraq or the cave
I see the Ascension in His Majesty

12. And I see the Prophet and his companions and procession
A tortured homeland and an afflicted nation

13. Too proud for us to be stricken and defeated
In our free hearts and in our bosoms

14. Lie embers of its burning sorrows
And we have enough pain to relieve it

15. And I see what we are bound to endure is harder and tougher
We endure afflictions and clad ourselves in sorrow

16. We herd our closest kin
We know well that he who eats their flesh

17. Will wade in our blood to drink it
They made the struggle for Arabism their livelihood

18. And tended it so it became a good livelihood
They irrigate what they planted with blood in fertile soil

19. Without shedding blood it would become barren
The house is elated by the moaning of their wounded

He who claimed that peace was his objective

21. Made blood his path and vehicle
If he has inundated the times and its people with

22. Lies, it is of his traits to lie
He rode the winds to tame the strong

23. Fierce, turning his fangs and claws

24. Seeking doom and a way out

Feigning sympathy for the weak as he sheds them

His prayers would be more sincere had he

27. Pitied the innocent rather than coddle the guilty
He raves about justice in his prayers

28. Have you seen justice blood stained?
You messengers of Arabism, did you ask about its wound

29. Why it persisted and what it led to?
A wound whose era elapsed and whose

30. Mouths opened calling out to past sorrows
You are the sorrow of the wound so make

31. What your elders’ healers tried its remedy
He prescribed the cure for you and left you his knowledge

32. So where does he want from you he who refused?
O people you are not weak so take the plunge

33. And claim your demands, hastening and determined
Does the strength your faith gathered and rallied

34. Not suffice you?
O descendants of Yarab show me a Khaled

35. Who charges at al-Khamis and prods it?
Whoever among you so desires let him emulate him and say not

36. The old is gone, it shall not go
The secret remains and time renews

37. And the sword has not lost its sharpness or blaze
Restore the injustices against the sanctities of a nation

38. That returned the delusions of the ignorant disappointed
Those who aspired to have the homelands of Arabism
