1. A new life is promised to Egypt
Have you seen how the Nile's people prevail?

2. The hearts of both nations concur in consent
Egypt's pledges are protected and its covenants stand

3. The hand of mighty God has tied its ropes
The messengers and the Most High are witnesses

4. One side held in the Messiah’s palm extended
The other tied fast in Muhammad’s clenched hand

5. Would you try to loose those two hands’ grip
When a hand aspires to protect them both?

6. The lineage of the Mukaukis, this is an eternal bond
Inheriting eras as people pass away

7. Bidding farewell to its pyramids when
The appointed time for it and its people has run out

8. You are a pillar for the Nile’s glory
Lofty of flanks, built to last

9. Suns have protected its grandeur and strengthened it
Among the kings, the royal hunters of Ramessis

10. Crowns for them and thrones
And processions and armies increase

11. Eras walk between its ranks
The earth quakes and kings stray

12. The people bow submissively in positions
Hymns to Pentawere exalted among them

13. The Pharaoh listens to displays of his might
While troops around his banners throng

14. Honoring his poet, favoring his people
And teaching poets how to excel

15. The sovereign is exalted, the processions splendid
The path of civilization lying long extended

16. The people are busy, the land cared for
Life glorious, arts everlasting

17. The Nile fructifying villages flows
Crops from it standing and harvests reaped

18. Egypt's treasure stores in Joseph's trusteeship
Caravans of scholars and delegations, a constant flood

19. It gives and countries celebrate, feast
Nations upon it giving life bestowed

20. Jacob’s sons facing its minister
Complain of the woes dark misfortunes once sewed

21. Pleading with a brother their schemes had rejected
Thereafter bounties and ease flowed

22. He placed the measure, but plots in their bags
Would have wearied towering giants carrying such loads

23. Nor will the great king thank his trustee
Until his missing bushel is bestowed

24. They left their brother controlling their sheikh
Two grieving worries, painful and concatenated

25. He finds life gently breathed
In Joseph’s wind, his heart is tenderized

26. The shirt arrived and from blindness
Came back to him sharp-sighted vision

27. They came to Canaan and were filled with awe
A dominion for Joseph unforeseen

28. His majesty filled sights and hearts
Where all bowed foreheads down

29. The minister’s dream interpreted, and dreams
For prudent visions, witnessed and avowed

30. Events are tests for men
Out of calamities, some harmful and some beneficial

31. The youth complains of life’s miseries and perhaps
His good fortune lies hidden, out of view

32. O people of the Bible, believing in it
Neither the prophet nor Jesus denied

33. Religion is one in order and prohibition
And God, majestic is His majesty, the Worshipped

34. The world of kingdoms has no limit, though faith
Upon its Judge is qualified and defined

35. Time has marched on goodwill between us
But I see it decrease as brotherhood is spread

36. The legacy of ancestors that fathers
Handed down to us should not be thin

37. Virtue to Egypt! Egypt greatest in sanctity
That its coveted hopes be not squandered

38. Unless a glory loftier and more lasting
The life of an upright nation and its presence

39. Bind your hearts to brotherhood, for trials upon her
Are severe, of Egypt the beloved home

40. Shall we see realms every day around us
Scrambling while we sit hoping?

41. The matter concerns us all, and Egypt
For both worlds is dwelling place and refuge nook

42. If the Nile brought motes, still when clear
It is life and its settlement guaranteed

43. Do we wrong ourselves and spoil our cause
If some envier wished or malcontent?

44. Hostility alleged we betray our land
An allegation, by both nations negated

45. Who ruled that we should live disgraced
Among the peoples? His rule is refuted

46. We know no deadening despair, we see
No path before us deterred or blocked

47. Insult to the pyramids while glory shining bright?
Or history denied to famed Egypt?

48. If Egypt weeps for its vanished magnificence
Sublime it will return and be renewed
