1. He left the kings, the kings of Kindah, and withdrew,
Who would leave the crowns, the delusive adornments?

2. Welcome, O Urwah, he is indeed your guide,
Auspicious and your lineage suffices you, whatever you see or perceive.

3. The Prophet was kind to you and his soul expanded for you,
To show you his place and appearance.

4. The day of the Romans was not of its circumstances,
But it shook your soul, admonishing and reminding.

5. What inheritance did Islam give your people, increasing them
In goodness, and it was for them the greatest and biggest.

6. The Ignorance has erased its traces among them
And its time has passed away.

7. It was death for them while this is their life
In the lofty state of Islam.

8. This is your companion, your people have no other than him,
An excellent companion when the sensible one makes his choice.

9. I have made their charities for Khalid
To be collected for me, and that is the most right and appropriate.

10. And I have appointed you as a worker, so be a man
Who facilitates good in all affairs.

11. Walk in the blessings of both your Lords, and do not
Despair when someone despairs or is negligent.
