1. Remember us in great calamities,
And witness that we are the shining stars,

2. We are for Islam the flags of victory,
And the swords of conquest that adversities obscure.

3. O nation of the Criterion, raise my grandeur,
And lift it to the highest peaks,

4. Rule the earth and master the nations,
Indeed it is the just rule that fulfilled the age.

5. You have taught the ancient nations,
The paths of glory and the means to supremacy,

6. If you want a witness or an example,
Then ask the verses and consult the chapters.

7. Mobilize knowledge and march to battle,
And seek the truth for it is the sublime goal,

8. He who attained the world and was corrupted has failed,
And saw people as weak so he transgressed.

9. Save the world from its sorrows,
And reveal what illusions it has gotten used to,

10. Do not fear the lion in his determination,
And remember your glory in the past ages.

11. Remember the crowns tossing in the ruins,
And the thrones crumbling in blood,

12. The volcano of fate erupted,
Lo they drowned in the raging, tumultuous sea.

13. We are the chosen youth of the Nile,
We support God and refuse what He refused,

14. And between loftiness and lowness
Our lineage is known for valor and clear imprints.

15. The ambition of the eagle when it arises,
From the lethargy of our people in times past,

16. They shook the world which collapsed and perished,
The arrogance of fate and the tyranny of others vanished.

17. Have you seen a people from what they conquered,
In every age they have a cause,

18. And in every generation they have morals,
The genius of history and the melodious narrator.

19. Islam rose as light and guidance,
And the matter ended with life and consent,

20. Indeed in the sword, despite the costly ransom,
Is a life to be gained or hoarded.

It picks the soul and forbids it from sin,

22. And shows it its throne above oblivion,
It is in this life a desirable existence,

23. And in the next salvation for mankind.
The vitality of homelands is in its glory,

24. And the majesty of kingship is from its blessings,
God protect its sons,
