1. The years have carried your sunlit processions,
So take your path, clear of landmarks.

2. You are but a procession that gathered guidance,
In it the majesty of knowledge and inspiration.

3. Walk in the light of the Book, for it
Is for you, if you want right guidance, the best imam.

4. Release your reins, no stumbling for the taker
From his Lord and His Book with reins.

5. These dwellings have been brought near for you, so pitch
Your tent in safety and peace therein.

6. And describe for this generation the days of the loved ones
Who preceded you, the honorable companions.

7. They raised life upon the truth, so the strongest
Of builders and most capable of destroyers were incapacitated.

8. When they established it with swords they made
The structure from ruins and rubble.

9. How many pillars of kingdoms cracked when
Their lofty pillars were pelted with lasting pillars.

10. Ruins teemed around them, so they buried
The drowned kingdoms in the murky gloom.

11. Its sides collapse upon the nations that
Carried yet had no defender or protector.

12. Who will protect the lands from their judge
And repel his plunder from the peoples?

13. O plunder that goes to its ends,
Traversing the distance and coveting every goal.

14. The marches of the Muslims are lost, so overtake
The citadels of guidance and remainder of Islam.

15. The disgraced gained glory from the foxes, and perished is
The glory of the lions and killing of the brave.

16. How numerous the heroes except they are
Heroes of delusion in the weapon of speech.

17. No people have ever thrived by speech, nor has
Any kingdom stood on weakness or surrender.

18. Conquest has narrated to me, and its narration
Contains no lies, and it suffices you to say ruin.

19. The Shaykh of trustees, he has over their banners
The right of allegiance and the duty of veneration.

20. He has judged intellects, so he did not impose
Or see the opinion of the ruined rulers.

21. God inspired him right, and endowed him
With the most honorable station and best abode.

22. What a fine companion I was granted by a Benefactor
Of pure making, truthful in blessing.

23. Say, O soul at rest, what ails the ruined ones
Who filled the battlefields, the people of relation?

24. They cast the arrows of God from their right hand
Yet they received them from the right hand of the Archer.

25. Did you know, before the death of our kinsfolk,
The language of wounds and the logic of pain?

26. By God, if they sought comfort, then be for them
An example of the exalted, sublime soul.

27. You were blessed by a healer whose goodness
Translates into the language of healing for the diseased.

28. Protect their remainder even if they wasted
What protections they had of sanctity and covenant.

29. You are not the son of the tenth, you are father of the ruined ones
Who birthed the elders of scriptures and pens.

30. Raise from the years a citadel of guidance
By the blessed, auspicious days.

31. And gather upon the religion of truths a nation
Which scattered dreams have blown about.
