1. Gather, oh Thaqif, whatever strength you desire,
And surrender it not to the pickaxes and wrecking balls.

2. Abu Sufyan came to it, seeking to destroy its entity
With speeches that increase blasphemy over blasphemy.

3. But al-Mughirah has a resolve for it
That keeps the infidels lying prostrate, overwhelmed with anxiety.

4. He entered it in his sandals and risked himself,
Deceiving those not awake from their delusions.

5. You thought him an evil and said, “He has been afflicted
By Al-Lat with what deters the deviant from sin.”

6. Behold how its boulders now
Fly into fragments of hardness and deafness.

7. It sways and its bonds weep in grief—
Does it, amidst the great mourning, have any knowledge?

8. Did its fetters protect it when
The Messenger of guidance came, gaining spoil upon spoil?

9. He has of the infidels’ blood what his Lord desired
And of their wealth without aggression or injustice.

10. They are the aggression, injustice, vileness, and harm,
And there is no other disgrace, deformity, or blame.

11. The dome of Islam has risen and its army grown mighty
With abundant honor and ample, clustering multitudes.

12. It is the religion, not the religion of ignorance and blindness.
Does one approval ignorance who possesses wisdom?

13. God has decreed that none shall be worshipped but Him;
None other has any decree or judgment.

14. And none shall condemn His religion
Except an enemy or foe.

15. He will roast him in a Fire whose heat
Will blacken the skin and take away the flesh and bone.
