1. The day of Badr when you held the highest status
When we remember you after those days
١. يومَ بدرٍ وأنت أعلى مَقاما
إن ذكرنا من بعدِكَ الأيّاما
2. We didn’t just remember the battleships you awakened
You awakened sleeping nations
٢. ما ذكرنا بِكَ القَواضبَ يَقْظَى
أنتَ أيقظتَها شُعوباً نِياما
3. They drowned in darkness not realizing
The ignominy nor the sinfulness of debauchery
٣. غَرقتْ في الظّلامِ لا تحسبُ البغ
يَ ذميماً ولا الفُسوقَ حراما
4. Hating justice in rights and accepting
When their masters refuse to establish it
٤. تَكرهُ العدَل في الحقوقِ وترضى
حين يأبَى سَاداتها أن يُقاما
5. Stand firm O people of blackness in line and know
That the army has a system in wars
٥. استقم يا سواد في الصف واعلم
أن للجيش في الحروب نظاما
6. O what a stab of an arrow O people of blackness
It met with you a high-minded man
٦. يا لها يا سَوادُ طعنةَ سَهْمٍ
صادفتْ مِنكَ أريحيّاً هُماما
7. If it wanted to harm with it, it wouldn’t have endured
Who avoids harm and refuses nudity
٧. لو يريدُ الأذى بها لم تُطِقْها
مَن يعافُ الأذى ويأبَى العُراما
8. He straightened the row and ruled the matter
According to the law of guidance so it was upright
٨. عَدّلَ الصفَّ فَاسْتَوى وقَضَى الأمْ
رَ على شِرعةِ الهُدى فَاسْتَقاما
9. It is a law of your Lord that runs
It to guide the people and nations
٩. إنّها شِرعةٌ لربِّكَ يُمضي
ها فتهدِي الشُّعوبَ والأقواما
10. It prevents the innocent from being harmed
And protects the weak from being oppressed
١٠. تَمنعُ المرءَ ذا البراءةِ أن يُؤ
ذَى وتحمِي الضَّعيفَ من أن يُضاما
11. And shows the strong subjugating to the truth
And seeking protection by its side
١١. وَتُريهِ القَوِيَّ يُذعِنُ للحَق
قِ ويبغِي بِجانبَيْهِ اعْتصاما
12. You said you hurt me, and you came with the truth
With justice, mercy and peace
١٢. قُلتَ أَوْجَعْتَني وقد جِئتَ بالح
قّ وبالعدلِ رحمةً وسلاما
13. Retribution, retribution I see it
O Imam of the guided, as an obligation
١٣. القَصاصَ القَصاصَ إنّي أراهُ
يا إمامَ الهُداةِ أمراً لِزاما
14. This is my stomach for your stomach equally
So take your due, the weak have reins
١٤. قال هذا بَطْنِي لِبطنِكَ كُفؤٌ
فَاسْتَقِدْ إنَّ للضّعيفِ ذِماما
15. The selves felt good O people of blackness and the
Quran returned coolness instead of the sores
١٥. طابَتِ النَّفسُ يا سَوادُ وعادَ ال
آنَ بَرْداً ما كانَ مِنها ضَراما
16. And you embraced the Messenger after doubt
So you embraced all virtues gloriously and loftily
١٦. واعتنقتَ الرَّسولَ بعدَ شَكاةٍ
فاعتنقتَ الخِلالَ غُرّاً وِساما
17. And you hurried to kiss the pure stomach
So you hurried to all good virtues greatly
١٧. وابتدرتَ البطنَ المطهَّرَ لَثْماً
فابتدرتَ الخيراتِ شَتَّى عِظاما
18. Give this status its greatest status
God disciplined His servant, guided him
١٨. هَا هُنا العدلُ والسَّماحةُ والإح
سانُ أعظِمْ بذا المقامِ مَقاما
19. And chose him as the Imam for the righteous
What religion is like his religion in its supremacy?
١٩. أدّبَ اللّهُ عَبْدَهُ وَهَداهُ
وَاصْطفاهُ للمتَّقِينَ إماما
20. What people are like the early Muslims?
Have you seen the weak in every land
٢٠. أيُّ دِينٍ كدينِهِ في عُلاهُ
أيُّ قومٍ كالمسلمينَ القدامى
21. How they became food for the strong?
They forbade good things out of enmity and injustice
٢١. أرأيتَ الضّعافَ في كلِّ أرضٍ
كيف أمسوا للأقوياءِ طعاما
22. And permitted sins and immoralities
My Lord if you want life for the people
٢٢. حَرَّموا الطيباتِ بَغياً وظُلماً
وَاسْتحلُّوا الذُّنوبَ والآثاما
23. Then send the Muslims and Islam
Send the light in the kingdoms guiding
٢٣. رَبِّ إن شِئتَ للشُّعوبِ حَياةً
فابعثِ المُسلِمينَ والإسلاما
24. Every misguided people and erasing the darkness
٢٤. إبعثِ النُّورَ في الممالكِ يهدِي
كُلَّ شَعبٍ غَوَى ويمحو الظّلاما
