1. Fear Allah, O Jadd bin Qays, and do not obey
Your desire, leave it as a crooked line it is crooked

2. You have lied to the Messenger of Allah, concealing other than
What you say, and nothing is hidden from Allah

3. You say to him, "Permit me and do not seek to tempt me
For I am a man who gives women free rein"

4. And the women of Rome overpower me against
My chastity, so leave me be, what is it to them or me?

5. So he turned away from him, displeased, and his
Immorality displeased him, the immorality of a man who displays his immorality openly

6. And his son came to burn him with the fire of blame
What a burning fire for a man it is blazing

7. He says to him, "Rather, you came to it an ignoramus
It called you to it from your hypocrisy, its caller"

8. Woe unto you O Jadd bin Qays, for if you repent
You will be protected, and if you sin there is no protector for you
