1. They came, longing drove them,
And for them a great return awaited,

2. They left the tents, emigrants,
No shade or thick shade for shelter.

3. They walked with the Prophet in parity,
None to guide but him, no other guide.

4. Seeking God, not desiring the world,
Plentiful are its goods, a trifle.

5. The clans under Islam's protection soar,
Through them the highest branch grows long.

6. Returning to Safiyya wherever she was,
And her path was most excellent.

7. Upon her from God's Messenger a clear
Sign of freedom, radiant and beautiful.

8. The family of glory and the tribe of renown,
Blessed thus the clan and the tribe.

9. Baring souls, fighting,
As the polished blade is bared.

10. No weakness to hinder, no cowardice,
No child to yearn for, no husband.

11. Women of truth, no fault in them,
And none like them in the world.

12. Taking their gift with modesty,
Increased in beauty by noble manners.

13. If little was granted them,
God's reward is plentiful and grand.
