1. Slow down, you tyrant, do not scorn us
For it is not wise to belittle us

2. Slow down, you unjust judge over us
Judging like the hostile, vengeful ones

3. You claimed your rule was just, in a book
With which you deceived all people

4. They were not unaware of the grudges boiling
Inside you, nor were they oblivious of the truth

5. You spewed out their poisons when your heart
Could not contain them, while hearts lose their way

6. You claimed our elites and protectors
Were just prattling embellishers

7. When they come to you, they please you with praises
But when they leave, they curse you

8. You claimed their countries are worthless to them
So they do not complain of the usurpers' pledge

9. You claimed their lives are but land and water
Bestowed by the most generous palms

10. You made false claims about us
And the words of the pretentious do not benefit

11. You claimed religion and Qur’an came
To make the lives of Muslims miserable

12. You claimed that Muhammad was not guided
Nor took the path of the reformers

13. If only you followed him to enact a law
That takes us to the place of the foremost

14. Slow down, you tyrant, do not scorn us
For the rule of the unjust is miserable

15. You left us a nation drowning in ignorance
And a people buried in their humiliation

16. God's religion, you claimed, orders ignorance
And obligates us to disgrace and submission

17. Ask the living and the dead together
Were we a subjugated nation?

18. Nights make Islam rise in us
With resolves that subjugate the arrogant

19. We destroy the thrones of tyrants by force
And uproot the conquering kingdoms

20. Events from which states tremble
And emperors are humbled remembering them

21. We left time crumbling away crumbling
And creation oblivious of us

22. With irresistible might and knowledge
Sweeping the depths and overflowing them

23. Nights ignorance shadowed people
Misguiding them to wander astray

24. We guided the misguided with righteousness
And without religion we would not be guided

25. If not for a group who abandoned it
We would be the earliest of the foremost

26. Do you claim what the ignorant reaped is religion?
And blame us for the sins of the ignorant?

27. Slow down, you tyrant, do not scorn us
You did not treat us justly in life or religion
