1. O sons of Al-Harith ibn Ka'b, peace be upon you
Islam has removed filth from you

2. Khalid came to you with the call of truth
So you responded, no hesitation did you show

3. Great is the blessing of the Prophet upon you
So recognize his religion and how it is maintained

4. All that displeases the souls in terms of injustice and ill-treatment is forbidden in it
Fighting is not permissible except with truth

5. And it is an affirmed, binding truth
You are the people, no blame is upon you

6. The matter has been judged and the swords have been sheathed
And it is wondrous that when the truth appears clearly

7. The minds and dreams go astray
O sons of Al-Harith ibn Ka'b, you have settled

8. In the sanctuary of God, an unassailable abode
This is Yathrib and this is the Imam

9. Have you seen the glory of prophethood in what
People have recognized or what groups have witnessed

10. Neither the ancient prophets attained
Some of this nor the great kings

11. He said, and He is the All-Knowing, when He addressed the people
And the likes of it makes speech pleasant

12. With what were you occupied in the Days of Ignorance
Seeking victory when the clash grew intense

13. So they answered Him, that is because we were altogether
United by kinship

14. Sincere in valor, the hearts being one
When they advanced and the ranks drew together

15. A boulder that does not shatter or crumble
Even if the pebbles scatter and the gravel flies

16. Then we would not initiate wrong against people
He who pardons is virtuous

17. We dislike evil, though able, and refrain
And evil in the souls is repulsive

18. He said, truly you have spoken the truth and for the wrongdoers
Continuity was not to be hoped for

19. Indeed, Zaid is your commander so recognize him
And fall in line with every orderly matter

20. The way of God is inevitable for the people
To have a leader the reins are cast to

21. Return in goodness, O son of Al-Husayn, and grace
Today you are indeed the noble leader
