1. By my life! If the president has failed in his covenant,
And hypocrisy against him is evident,

2. My covenant with him is full of ups and downs,
Except for treachery, when the loyal take the path.

3. He was not of those who know the truth or see
The place of guidance, and the knowing are few.

4. I did not fear that people would see his opinion,
And hearts would be blinded or minds deranged.

5. Indeed, in the way of God we have firm positions
Where we saw the young terrified and recoil.

6. We were pelted with sufferings like mountains,
And torrents of insults poured down on us.

7. Yet we did not doubt the truth, unlike others,
Nor did we criticize what we wanted to avoid.

8. We struggle, hoping for none but God as helper,
Nor do we allow oppression when we attack.
