12. To drink from your meanings and overwhelm
When you unleash it, a heart and an ear

13. And crowds of stars from your throne
Poured from a light that approached

14. To make you forget the world
If you hear it from what it dictated

15. And how many nights where a star sang
Other than a human or a jinn

16. Except one of us when he grieved
With one called Abu Furat

17. And said: Recite to them from poetry
In it, dreams from the breaths are nearer

18. In it, polytheism is the least in number
And Allah's religion is supreme in glory

19. And the land of Arabs is best bowed
Tomorrow the wolf becomes a lamb in it

20. And one of knowledge is best in fortune
With it countries are built

21. With it Qays never stopped singing

23. And warn a disbeliever with art, vanish
And give glad tidings to a believer with art, intimacy

24. And tell them both that the verse is more lasting
Than the life that will definitely perish

25. So whoever softened for us a heart and sang
We made their chest home to poetry

26. If one says a verse, gains eternity
So for him from forgetting is a fortress

27. And whoever does not respond and increases stubbornness
It suffices that he is banished from us

28. And ask a beloved star that spent dawn
Away from the star cluster and what distracted it from us

29. And ask a star that hesitated from the east
Why did the east hesitate?

30. And why did we hope a dawn would soften
So the night when prolonged was softer

31. Do not blame him by Allah, assume
That you banish the cursed, curse him

32. So he leaves you disputing that
One who sees benevolence owes it

33. And you cry after it and moan that
You miss a companion you wished for

34. And the one who fulfilled his promise did not betray
And gave when others begrudged

35. So no creature was more loyal than him in betrayal
And no Creator was more supportive than Him

36. An angel he is, with wings and my Lord
So woe to those who called him a jinn
