1. Praise be to Allah, the Near, the Remote
In His kingdom, the Disposer of all affairs

2. The All-Knowing, the All-Seeing, the All-Hearing
The Creator of creation without contention

3. Of what is apparent of the whole of innocence
The Withholder, the Bestower in giving

4. Without haste or slowness
The Sustainer, who apportions sustenance to all

5. And to all animals and trees
Who holds birds without physical limbs

6. With birds glorifying in the air
Who flattened the earth upon the water

7. And anchored the towering heavens
The Ruler, the Opener with songs

8. To the wilderness, the One by Himself in eternity
Whose might is glorified on high

9. He says: “Indeed, my raiment is supreme majesty”
Hearing the creeping of ants in darknesses

10. I call upon You in declaring Your holy names
A surrendering supplication to Your decree

11. O my God, so hear my prayer
To guide me to ways of guidance

12. And take me to the limit of hope
I ask You for success in supplication

13. And the ultimate request in passage
I hope for protection from You in recitals

14. In wealth, children and illnesses
I seek from You a way of guidance

15. That You guide me to a virtuous path
So I obtain deliverance and salvation

16. From the intent of earning sins and transgressions
I ask You for the bounties of this life

17. Its conditions without dejection or trade
I ask You for success in my final days

18. To enter me into the Garden of Refuge
I have resolved to mount the saddlebags

19. To shed the garb of darknesses
To fold up the carpets of falsehood

20. To wrap up the register in the hands of the reciter
To pass the night on the desolate sands

21. The nightfall of a bird in the air
To rest at the abandoned midday heat

22. Beneath the shadows of a lofty palm tree
Or the belly of a rain-filled depression

23. Like an awe-inspiring barren hillside
I startle it with the malice of youth

24. And shake it with the tender dawn
O my God, I complain of my condition

25. My happiness lies with You, or my misery
I have repented of my sins and my boasts

26. So pardon me in the encounter
And accept, my God, my pure boasts

27. And make Your pleasure my reward tomorrow
Send blessings upon the Prophet in the evening

28. And in the morning, You are my Master
The most virtuous prayers, then praise

29. And peace upon the companions and saintly friends
And the followers after the prophets
