1. Behold me with the eye of purity
Alas! None can be like me, a sincere friend

Remaining true to the covenant of sincere loyalty

8. And others among the people, how many said to me
Your words, but did not keep faithful

9. So you are the compassionate, you are the intimate
When a friend abandons a friend, becomes aloof

10. You harbor in your heart my standing still
And the like of me, if he says, will not stand still

11. And here I am, averting my gaze
Yearning for Mecca and the Standing Place

12. And my heart inclines toward Arafat's purity
I love for my love's sake more than one who knows

13. And my heart aches for Tayba
Which is only the healing for my heart

14. When will I be in the Prophet's tomb
O my thoughts, yearn for the Standing Place

15. And let me kiss the earth of that dust
And recite my praise for the Chosen One

16. And excel in praise of his two companions
And recite in praise of the Chosen One in addition

17. Blessings and prayers upon him as long as
A rider mounts a swift camel
