1. I am the stranger, were it not for glory and lineage
And my saviors: knowledge and literature

2. No one is a stranger if his mother is knowledge
And his father is glory

3. I am not estranged from family and homeland
So I said every stranger is expatriated

4. I do not choose from the days except the elite
And I am not content without where I accompany

5. The abhorrent traits have repelled me from my time
I am well and those in it are with scabies

6. And if I was one of them I lived their time
Verily soil originates from gold

7. And this time and those in it are renewing
They would have followed my doctrine had they stood still

8. People are different species and types
Like birds, some are falcon, and some are raven

9. I wish I knew of my progeny, if I left them
My offspring, without tiring the succeeding offspring

10. O joy of the eye, O coolness of the heart, do
My elegies wherever you are make you sad?

11. In you is the realization of the truthful nobility
As you are the cub whose lineage goes back to the mighty lion

12. Your absence is a perforation I do not mind
The forest of the protective, vigilant lion is perforated

13. O Hamza, O father of cubs, your nickname
For you all generous virtues between people is a title

14. Do not exhaust yourself seeking livelihood
That seeking does not increase your provision

15. And seek from God sustenance with sublime knowledge
It is said through knowledge all money is earned

16. The dog is better than one without manners
Or chastity, or knowledge or youth

17. There is no pride but in obeying God and in
Knowledge of the noble, and wretched is he who boasts his lineage

18. The least of worldly things suffices you, thus
With a date the hunger of the hungry left

19. Heed my advice O coolness of the heart and O
Light of my eye, and I am leaving worries

20. Do not sever the connection from you to
Your Creator, through knowledge and piety they are the cause

21. And a thousand thousand greetings visited your eminence
As the clouds visit the meadows’ daughters

22. Including your family and uncles, all of them
And the relatives or those who seek closeness to God through you
