1. This parting and thus this farewell
Of what fills the chest and ribs with pain

2. We find the flames on the cheeks
When bidding farewell while they let fall tears

3. A robe rends upon an early intention
Were it not for the intention there would be no rending

4. The nights' wont is thus with its vicissitudes
The new wears out and the gathered separates

5. It may highly raise the abased sometimes
And lower the raised sometimes with its vicissitudes

6. How many well-known faces it makes gloomy
And their faces by its vicissitudes are gloomy

7. You find the ignoble man at the height of glory
And its noble below glory, ignoble

8. A hungry man while the inept are collectors
Except by scattered news they gained glory

9. We were in the month of fasting successful with us
That no weakness undermines its pillar

10. The raven of separation caws among us
The raven's call confuses and alarms

11. Oh what a stance at his farewell
It is as if at the moment of farewell it is feeble

12. How many tears of gratitude on it with its tears
Melting sorrow and the last of laments

13. When will this parting allow us, father
To meet you, and then we are all together

14. It parted us after it united us
With none but you, reunion is not hoped for

15. It forbade us, with you, frivolity and vain talk
Your light in the darkness gives light

16. Filled with praise of you are the mosques
For God where praise of you is raised

17. And with you the noble angels on our land
Descended, and they are inclined to call on God

18. And the predetermined night in which through you
Harm for the year and benefit

19. As if a thousand months, oh what a night!
And the successful hearer has been allowed it

20. And through you blessings descend upon us
As long as you are among us, so time is spring

21. I bid you farewell in the evening and sorrow
In it is grief after farewell, gentle

22. You are our intercessor so would that upon you, O
Month of fasting, be an intercessor for parting

23. A thousand greetings from us to you, O
Month of fasting, since you departed, tender

24. We ask God for your safe return
And when you return, for sins, a return

25. And may sins disperse like your parting
Through you, and relieve us of its heaviness

26. You freed men in you from its shackles
So shade them after harshness, tender

27. They obeyed God sincerely for Him
And he will see good reward, obedient

28. May God grant it success in its good fast
And vigil - no confused or hungry one

29. For the Lord of its fasting and night vigil
Only sleepiness is its reward and hunger

30. I wonder how is my state and what
I am granted success in imprinted

31. My Lord your pardon, pardoning is vast
The Generous answers the supplicant hearing

32. I call you fearful hoping your pleasure
With your bounty I resort, it is vast

33. So accept my fasting though I did wrong, You O God
Forgiver of sins, are Innovator

34. And bless Your Messenger, he is our prophet
I hope in him for me he is intercessor
