1. Oh how I wish I knew what fate has ordained for me,
And what my future holds, as written by the Divine decree.

2. If I forget, God will take account of all I have done,
Saving me through deeds pure and worthless alike.

3. The causes of my sins are firmly intertwined,
While the roots of righteous deeds lie frail and undermined.

4. In the bloom of hopes, my dreams play with me,
Like waves without anchors, adrift on barren sands.

5. Woe to me, if the Merciful does not send me aid,
To grant me safety and save me from ruin.

6. Oh what regret that a misstep cannot be undone!
A faulty contract of loss and utter waste.

7. If You do not save me from its trickery,
Who can offer refuge from aims and arrows gone astray?

8. With all my will I cling to Your pardon,
So do not cut off my hopes and desires.

9. Make my hopes face no rejection, God,
And realize my sins with no going back.

10. Myself, Iblis and the world - protect me from them
For they are my bitterest foes, adept in every evil.

11. My heart is full with inspirations from the Divine,
While those without them are left to wander in wilderness.

12. Save me God from Hellfire’s heat,
And grant me Heaven’s bliss, in the arms of maidens with braided hair.
