1. O Creator of creation, O You whose generosity is boundless
O Provider of sustenance to needy souls

2. O You who is Allah, nothing resembles Him
By You a thing exists and ceases to exist

3. Your supremacy has no equal or match
No, nor a father called or a child begotten

4. About where, how, or when You revealed Yourself
Or multiplied Yourself, You cannot be limited

5. No place is devoid of You, yet no place
Contains You, You are present everywhere

6. You see yet cannot be seen, this world and the next
The known and the hidden are veiled in You

7. You are Eternal, none share that trait
You create things and creations fade

8. O King, worshipped God, none but You
Is worshipped, O You worshipped One

9. I call on You in hope and fear combined
Hope in Your grace, as fear is cast out

10. O Lord, pardon me, bless me, gift me
Then, grant me eternal life in Paradise

11. Grant me wellbeing, grace and contentment
All my life, may I be joyous in Your gifts

12. Guide me, O God, to hasten doing good
That flies me o’er this mortal chasm

13. Let me soar in its lands like an eagle
Spend the night, as the wings of night spread

14. Whenever I grasp some with my hand
I display the like and multiples more

15. Ignoring the terrors and wilds within
With no stopping place for travelers

16. If lions prowled, they would shriek and die
Fearing its injustice, even the masters

17. Thecamels moan, rising from its meadows
With cliffs, depths, and winding trails

18. The caravan partly slumbers mid-lands
Part yearns and sings Your praises

19. Until the high dunes appeared, and for us
The night fires of Layla began to shine

20. The caravan rejoiced at the rest stop there
And I submitted to Truth, to trees and firewood.
