1. The consolation for you is as good as the consolation
In the precious pearl, the sleepy pearl

2. Remnants of nomadic women were
Who revived their generosity, the generous nomad

3. Mother of the poor, who from her wealth
The helpless weaklings are given livelihood

4. The disease of death, if only it
Had befallen the ruins, it would have been cured

5. And when the young man faces death alone
He leaves the wailing to the mixed multitude

6. The buried dead does not come back to life
Yearning, nor does prolonged crying benefit you

7. Glory to Him who made eternity His own, and yet
Made all people subject to total annihilation

8. Death of the wealthy is loss of riches, even if exalted
Except you find the death of the poor

9. Death does not pity the young for his youth
Never, nor forgives the elderly

10. A cup, from which the old man drank destruction
Is made to drink by mother of the talkative lad

11. Strange! One consoles the dead with a dead person
The dead, bereft of son and forefathers

12. May your life remain eternal, O Ahmed
In glory, happiness and loftiness

13. And may your sons live a life, thanks to you, they
Fear not the occurrence of worldly misfortunes
