1. Saadi and unlucky by the decrees of fate preceded
No draftsmen preceded the inevitable what followed

2. So the precedent of knowledge is from the knowledgeable in the past
And if they were attached to him a misguidance and piety

3. But I must make an effort not to waste it
Did I attain happiness through my diligence or did I meet misery

4. If God has destined happiness for me with precedence
When you accept what I was granted success in, so they coincided

5. I am satisfied with God as Lord and the Prophet as guidance
And my nation is the nation of Islam, so it is my pillar

6. O you who singled out divinity and sovereignty
The immense, neither born nor begotten nor equal

7. He sees and is not seen, the All-Hearing without
Hearing, the All-Seeing though He has no eyelid

8. Glory to Him, He neither dwelt in a place nor a
Place dwelt in Him, above or below or lofty

9. Above “will” or “until when” or “perhaps”
Transcendent, and “then” or “where” or “how” remains

10. He sees and hears the creeping of an ant on
The surfaces of the earth and the darkness overwhelms

11. The Sustainer, the chick flung in its nest
And the Feeder, lodged in the wombs, attached

12. From a breath, He created a figured
Being from a clotted drop that was a leech-like thing

13. By His volition He created the creatures, not
Wearying or tiring, Preserving the One who created

14. And in its disposition was His will
Decreeing and abiding, none rivaled His abiding with abiding

15. He constructed the heavens in layers with His power
And He spread out the earth, a cradle opposite the sky

16. And anchored the mountains, the anchored mountains in it
That it may settle down, so it settled after boiling

17. He circulated the winds and circulated above its rumbling
Those maidens sailing above it skillfully

18. And that originated from the smoke of a pearl
And from its ringing when it cooled off so it separated

19. And the sea is from froth and the earth from silt
And from the smoke of the heavens folded layer upon layer

20. So the bull carries this earth and it is upon
A rock on rays above the water without sinking

21. And the water above the cloud where above it is air
The constitution of the created things and sustenance

22. And He fashioned the tablet to originate the clouds through it
After the blowing of the winds intertwined

23. And the water was computed therein as a due,
However much the Benevolent Master willed, it irrigated

24. The north wind stirs up the sea unleashing it
Where the east wind to the south wind hastened

25. And thunder is the rebuke of the King of Majesty startled
And lightning is the illumination of a staff in His grasp flashing

26. And He sent the messengers giving good tidings and warning
So they delivered the truth of their Master Who was truthful

27. I testified that none is God but Him forever
And Ahmad is a prophet who spoke with guidance

28. And what he brought us from his Creator
Is truth from God, not differing falsely

29. And death and resurrection and the threat and what
Is promised in the promise occurred and what is in the text matured

30. To God I professed with what in religion binds me
Its performance then what was or flowed

31. And I tasked the soul from me with questioning for what
In it is questionable for a case that befell or preceded

32. My religion and speech, so God’s religion and whatever
The Messenger said and for me since He created creatures

33. And my opinion is the opinion of the Muslims even if
You guide me away from this, you see them differ

34. And I repented to God from words, deeds
Intentions and beliefs I rambled confusedly

35. And from legal opinions I issued while safe
And in war and what I outlined foolishly

36. And I ask God for success and forgiveness
And wellness and attainment to replace the cast

37. O Bestower upon the wrongdoer who came apologizing
O Master of a slave, Substitute for a slave since they existed

38. Straitened is my situation, the straitness of stopping from the pull
Of sins, if some were depicted, the horizons would be filled

39. Perhaps a kind act, success and attainment from me
O You in Whom is the firm handle for whoever held fast

40. I paused at the door of hope while my
Hands are outstretched to attain livelihood from You

41. You are too exalted to turn away the hopeful from You without gift
Or pardon or freeing him from his sin

42. Oh, would that I know with what my precedence
Judged, the Judge of judges, except the judgment of what preceded

43. For You know better than me Your love, O
You for Whom none but You are beloved to me and sought

44. If I fell short in fulfilling Your right, how
Many a servant erred and the Master of a servant does not rage

45. You are Self-Sufficient and I am needful of You
Upon the weak one conferring order he obeys

46. Inform me that when You led me to joy
You guide me to You, no fear or flash of lightning

47. Through the Intercessor I implore You, O Lord, may I not
Meet the enemies at all
