1. When Moses came to Mount Sinai seeking the Creator
That he may behold Him with the eye of clear insight

2. The mountain split into parts, for it intended
To envelop Layli while the rest surrounded the homes of the Helpers

3. One part was Hud and Ridwa, and Warqan descended
Around the city, from which gazes glanced

4. As for Thabeer, Thowr, and Al-Ashim they hurried
To Umm Al-Qura, descending in the best of settlements

5. And Sinai became a meadow without any stones
When the Connected One manifested Himself upon it

6. Glory be to Him, the Almighty whom ages cannot change
From the state of His omnipotence and repeated seasons
