1. You are so Great, nothing compares to You
I found You, so no one tells me about You like a generous one

2. You created the known wise one with ability
With it the fruitless is nullified and the fruitless attains

3. You are Merciful to Your servants, All-Pervading
And to the sinful refugee to You, Generous

4. Subtle, so if You postpone, You are not neglectful
Benevolent, so You never withheld while You are Forbearing

5. You are blessed with Sanctity, You are Exalted in Might
All-Knowing of the secrets of sins, All-Aware

6. I asked You harm and I call upon You fearfully
Yet You are the Helper, The Everlasting

7. So my sin is great O Greatest One, and yet
You are Great and with the Greatest there is nothing great

8. May You with noble salvation save me
For I stand at the door of hope, determined

9. If I were a sinner, sinful in his own doing
Not all who hope for Your approval are sinful

10. I stood while the month of fasting bid me farewell
And every union with the Beloved is difficult

11. I bade it farewell and my eyes thank it with its tears
And I feared for its heels, no longer fasting

12. If my luck with You was a precursor, I have no
Guarantor in both my states, suffering

13. May You have accepted my fasting, and what remained
Of sins with me, subsistent and dwelling

14. Oh how I wish I knew, with some closeness to You
Is it with the mortal sins You are Merciful?

15. And I did not know the value of this month's farewell with approval
And what departed from me, it is my adversary

16. Some men won with the month of fasting, if only I
Could be with them on the day of winning, a confidant

17. You gave them what you gave of fasting its due
And I stood with what the Benevolent would stand

18. Farewell O Father of Al-Fitr, you left between us
And all sincerely loving are remaining

19. In you the remembrance is recited, you were in every mosque
With you, O month of fasting, religion is upright

20. And every tongue remembers you
And is fruitless in defiance and disobedience to you

21. With you blessings were sought and gathered
And the Night of Destiny in you, if only it would last

22. The angels of the Merciful came with greetings
It illuminated light, and darkness was confused

23. You traveled away, O Father of Al-Fitr, the travel of companions
Is there in you a replacement for the companion, a companion?

24. We asked the One who gave you to us for our companion
To meet you, and the Great Grace, a companion

25. With the farewell I saw our sins depart
As chaff departs between violent winds

26. Explain a life bound by sins
And no joy is in gaining sins

27. When the evils of disobedience visit me
I sit from its thoughts and stand

28. Of the most wondrous things is when I am tested
With sin while I am sleeping

29. And were it not for hope in God that His beauty
Upon every creature hoping Him is all-encompassing

30. I would have cut off my breaths with the heels of sighs
That have between the ribs a wreckage

31. But I am protected by Him whom with it
The bone lived and then was mended

32. I am the confused, longing for pardon and pleasure
And every lover to the lover is confused

33. I sent hopes to You, I hope for their saplings
As they aim for the rose garden of acceptance

34. So if You pardon me, it is of Your nobility
For I am hopeful and the hopeful one is generous

35. Bless the Chosen One whenever I head
