1. The Prophet learned that we are like
Hyenas with long legs, freshly washed
١. تَعَلَّم رَسولَ اللَهِ أَنّا كَأَنَّنا
أَفَأنا بِأَنمارٍ ثَعالِبَ ذي غِسلِ
2. The Prophet learned we never saw the like of them
He ran to the least of them and held back from superiority
٢. تَعَلَّم رَسولَ اللَهِ لَم نَرَ مِثلَهُم
أَجَرَّ عَلى الأَدنى وَأَحرَمَ لِلفَضلِ
