1. O son of Ja'far, you are a noble youth
And a welcoming refuge for one who comes at night
١. إِنَّكَ يا اِبنَ جَعفَرٍ نِعمَ الفَتى
وَنِعمَ مَأوى طارِقٍ إِذا أَتى
2. Many a guest who has knocked at the tents
Has found provisions and talk to his liking
٢. وَرُبَّ ضَيفٍ طَرَقَ الحَيَّ سُرى
صادَفَ زاداً وَحَديثاً ما اِشتَهى
3. Indeed, conversation is a joy of life
Then, afterwards, blankets in the dust.
٣. إِنَّ الحَديثَ طَرَفٌ مِنَ القِرى
ثُمَّ اللَحافُ بَعدَ ذاكَ في الذَرا
