19. The army does not meet without
His glorious strategy reserved for crises

20. And his sword, if banners are raised
Makes the blades of the polished swords blunt

21. It gallops in its dust with one facing it
Who spares blood with retaliation

22. O shelter of horses, as if they have
No drink but the blood of prey from watering places

23. And the watering place, as if their sound
Against enemies is the rattling of snakes

24. Snatching resolve with melodies
That cut the wrists of polished swords

25. As if its wisdom over the embers
Is Luqman's wisdom over joints

26. Do you have prides among prides?
Do you have merits among merits?

27. What can their pride and prevention be
Like vegetables and their harshness like onions?

28. By God, they intended without intending
And plotted without being plotters

29. And disputed with someone who has
No weapons but victory to defend the faith

30. They wanted to veil the evident light of truth
And attempted to limit the far-reaching perfect

31. We did not hear or see in the gloom
The illumination of torches obscured

32. I love every place of evening pasture
And the best palms are giving palms

33. If God wills to uncover a reputation
One who fears its throwing fears an ignorant fool

34. If not for the flame's kindling and flaring up
The tinder would not be known from the flints

35. They came upon them, no resolute sword humbled them
Nor did the resolve of a biter humiliate them

36. It cut them, hastily attacking the slain
Like the striking of lightning, obtaining drink

37. Glory may be attained by an ignorant one
And humiliation accompanies a wise one

38. People will not lack the fruits of your merit
For you are the essence of merits
