3. If turning away was a misstep
Then to God belongs the misstep that saved me

4. Or if it was neglect as others claimed
Then with a beloved one I desire neglect

5. Verily the best of speech is that which is concise
And benefits souls with what concerns them

6. A man's stance with people matches
The worth of his words that express it

7. Man is but a word from the mouth of fate
Cast to every listener that conveys it

8. So beware of words that would spew malice

12. You would see the learned man as ignorant
And see the forbearing man as imprudent

13. Many an ugly one whom the foolish desire
Until it is said she cast her spell

14. There are subtle points which if the speaker

15. Beneath them lies disgrace, blame, and censure
So of what use is one who voices them?
