1. May Allah disfigure the father of what a month brought
And afflict him with the poisons within it

2. Each day it has excruciating torment
While it saves from painful torment

3. What month has shaded without interruption, the
shade lingered over us, nor the gentle breeze

4. It lengthened so it is sorrow and provision, so what a
resemblance its miracles have to the breast of the miserly

5. Fasting became a religious duty within it, so we fasted
In a blazing fire hoping for nearness of the blazing fire

6. Its era has not been generous but
We preserved it for the Generous Station
