1. Do not be amazed at one who attained his goal
Old, though failing in the bloom of youth -
١. لا تعجبنَّ لطالبِ بلغَ المنى
كهلاً وأخفق في الشباب المقبلِ
2. Wine masters minds when aged,
And feet tread its first pressing.
٢. فالخمر تحكم في العقولِ مسنّةً
وتداس أوَّل عصرها بالأرجل
