للأنس تألفه الحسانُ الخرَّدُ
2. The breeze runs through its hatred and stream
Shaking a spear or unsheathing a sword
٢. يجري النسيم بغضها وغديرها
فيهزُّ رمحٌ أو يسلُّ مهنَّد
3. And the morning dew adorns every daisy
Like a cheek kissed by a perfidious black lover
٣. ويزينُ دمعُ الطلّ كلَّ شقيقةٍ
كالخدِّ دبَّ بهِ غدارٌ أسودُ
