1. Thus the dew competes with the verdure's green,
Yet upwards my aspirations higher lean,

2. Two lions they, fearless in danger's midst,
Swords that with flawless blades the foe demean,

3. Defending a state where glory love entwine,
Repelling the erring or misguided's spleen,

4. Victorious in war and nobler than all others,
Their fame the wide world fills, as though sustaining

5. The livelihood of mankind they underwrite,
Never abandoning them, the honored sustaining,

6. Green as water are their banners midst the fray,
While lances withered and the spears decay.
