For our master, for he was true of heart,

Both these trades were made by fools,

3. And the cook who has no honor
Shelters him, though she is of no noble lineage,

4. By your life! I and my son Ju'ail
And his mother are but lowly hides,

5. So she knows not if people travel on
Shall she wander or stay put thereafter,

6. The ostrich clan will imprison their captives
When they arrive, and their watering hole is foul.
