Drenched in musk, a kin-slayer

3. She came to greet me, so I said:
Woe unto you, and woe is me because of you!

4. Never have I seen the like of you, who comes from
Iraq’s bounty and kingdom’s pulpit

5. She shoots to kill us with her arrows
While we weigh her with patience and devotion

6. O excellent mother of sons, for
All her generosity and abandonment

7. If you submit we’ll submit, but if you call
To a faith other than Islam, we won’t forsake ours for yours
