3. I yearn for Na‘man from the post house door. Oh!
What has stirred for Na‘man in my heart!

4. I swore by my money, since the beloved left torture,
Except complaining, there is nothing but complaining.

5. This is not the house I once knew,
Nor before leaving were the neighbors neighbors.

6. Show me, so I can see its people from afar,
As Solomon saw the throne of Balqis.

7. Nothing equals our homelands when the beloved
Among homelands, dwelled there with us.

8. Spring water, even a mouthful,
Quenches my heart’s thirst when it is thirsty.

9. Good are the meadow’s breezes when they meet us,
Amidst them are ‘Arar, Qaisum, and Hawdhan.

10. The leaves in the moist earth’s kindness are blithe,
The flowers laughing and the meadow’s plants delighted.
