1. Her home was scattered in Sal' and Ghawair scattered
Stretching to the water of Udhaib her strides

2. And she does not divert them from the winding valleys
Even if the expanse of the land pulled her, so she resisted

3. Yearning for Sal' and the light of its meadows
When the winds of dawn blew upon her

4. She cuts through the dune scrub with her breeze
And harvests the white acacia with her downpour

5. Drifting in the sea of mirage as though
Ships sailing with the wind set their course

6. She flies when the guide directs her as though
Charmed by David the Prophet's chant

7. So do not grieve, my friend, for her, for in
Her visage, when she traveled, was the cure of her passion

8. At dawn, she was prodded on by bare mountains
Not even the span of souls brought her closer

9. Until she knelt at the gates of Yathrib
Where she found refuge and rest

10. With her the best of Allah's creation, east and west
The Prophet of Guidance lasting in her good soil

11. And his successor, the Chosen One, superior to any who walked
Upon her soil after him and protected her

12. And second to him in order, Umar who
Defended the sanctuary of Islam when he rebuilt her

13. And after him Uthman the martyr, for he
Lay to rest in her loftiest places

14. And then Ali the bravest of people in battle
When passions burned hot under his armor

15. A leader in the verses of the Book, praise of him
And his virtues in excellence are endless

16. And after him the rest of the Companions, they
Are the pillar of the nation of Islam’s mercy

17. Upon them, may the peace of Allah remain as long as
The east winds blow and the sun rises radiant
