No merit in the field can catch up to his merit.

22. Caterpillars have accompanied the companion of travel as shoes,
Their mouths in the dust, kissing his shoes.

23. Just as all the kings were obedient to his opinion,

25. None like him in opinion can be found after him,
Nor before him did people see his equal in it.

26. So his solution is not what time considers a knot,
Nor are its knots what he sees as a solution.

27. Generous with gifts, he never parts from his generosity,
Noble in qualities, he never commits joking.

28. His virtues cannot be counted by the most eloquent,
Can anyone count the sands of the sea?

29. To you, O Safi al-Din, one unemployed complains,
So look wherever you wish to employ him.

39. You carry the burden of praise, riding its difficulty,
And bearing it in all positions, entire.
