8. None in love is as content as I am,
Pleased with a promise from him, though he delays fulfilling it.

9. In being at ease from his estrangement, I am not hopeful,
And from my misery that I do not hope for our union.

10. I have ridden the cheerful, easy love,
While lovers have ridden my easy heart.

11. I was happy that I am a phantom of his estrangement,
So I may travel, like him, to visit.

12. I lost my patience with a pampered beloved
Whose sad heart sways sadly.

13. Time has a grudge, so it seeks its vengeance,
While I - what can I do but not leave its possessions?

14. My time has cast me away with severe cruelty,
So none but my heart can straighten its arrow.

15. Shall I be denied generosity despite my manners towards it?
And shall it be granted to the foolish and vulgar of the people?

16. There the virtuous man regrets his merits,
And the ignorant man is praised for his ignorance.

17. I will thank my time, O son of gratitude, because
It has repented until it started doing good.

18. A minister who gathered the eminent from all directions,
And a king who made it a duty to pardon and bestow.

19. A leader who leads the early-risers to the highest,
None can take his place in glory.

20. He clears the face of trouble after it had darkened
With fine speech, paired with success is its consequence.

21. No knowledge is below the limit of his knowledge,
No merit in the field can catch up to his merit.

22. Caterpillars have accompanied the companion of travel as shoes,
Their mouths in the dust, kissing his shoes.

23. Just as all the kings were obedient to his opinion,
His master’s - may God keep his group together.

24. He has in him a judge who knowledge refined his branch,
Just as glory sweetened his well-rooted origin.

25. None like him in opinion can be found after him,
Nor before him did people see his equal in it.

26. So his solution is not what time considers a knot,
Nor are its knots what he sees as a solution.

27. Generous with gifts, he never parts from his generosity,
Noble in qualities, he never commits joking.

28. His virtues cannot be counted by the most eloquent,
Can anyone count the sands of the sea?

29. To you, O Safi al-Din, one unemployed complains,
So look wherever you wish to employ him.

30. And O my time, be equitable and live righteously,
For this is Safi al-Din, spreading his justice.

31. O son of Ali, you have risen above all creation
With everlasting glory, made firm by God.

32. Rajab has come giving you its congratulations
With abundant good fortunes bestowed by God.

33. It has appeared a crescent in the sky as if
Congratulating you, God has adorned it.

34. Connecting the tips of glory, none before
Wore the cloak, able to reach its hem.

35. No wonder the edges of power have weakened you,
When you were its pattern while being its shape.

36. Your book - whoever has found refuge in it
In the evening and morning, wears all expected safety.

37. You, who in every situation, whenever
Your nobility confronts an event, meets its nobility.

38. You were never in the circle of knowledge debating
Except they all fell silent from your compelling argument.

39. You carry the burden of praise, riding its difficulty,
And bearing it in all positions, entire.

40. So the eulogists continue to send you, with their praise,
The delicate and solid poetry they have.
