1. And if you see me one day
A seed in the soil, do not pick me up.
١. وَيبَكُم إِن رَأَيتُمونِيَ يَوماً
حَبَّةً في الثَرى فَلا تَلقِطوني
2. I am like the letter that is not dotted, and God
Is sufficient for the ignorant if they omit me.
٢. أَنا كَالحَرفِ لَيسَ يُنقَطُ وَاللَ
هُ حَسيبُ الجِهّالِ إِن نَقَطوني
3. I am like the Waw between a Ya and a Kasrah -
Men cannot be blamed if they drop me.
٣. بِتُّ كَالواوِ بَينَ ياءٍ وَكَسرٍ
لا يُلامُ الرِجالُ إِن يُسقِطوني
