1. The dying embers informed me, and Ibn Jamrah,
And the family of Shihab, every dying ember,

2. People are only fearful of Allah alone,
When disasters befall the critic’s grasp,

3. They fled and we slept, so they demolished our love,
And those sights are not the same as these resting places,

4. Parting from a pearl has given you that which is not deficient,
The system of ath-Thurayya or the unique one of the tombs,

5. When the terminating life convulses me,
I do not hold hatred towards the transgressing enemy,

6. And I differ from a day whose darkness engulfs,
So it howls the howling of bereaved women.
