1. Longing for a night and day
From which months are composed,

2. And two dear times,
Whose secrets do not appear.

3. Religion has become weakened,
And the verses of time have changed it.

4. So there is no almsgiving, no fasting,
No prayer, and no purification.

5. And a people have disputed the legality of marriage
With women who have no dowries.
