تضاعف همي أن أتتني منيتي

1. My troubles have doubled, now that my wish has come to me
Yet my needs are not met, despite the prancing horses

١. تَضاعَفَ هَمّي أَن أَتَتني مَنيَّتي
وَلَم تُقضَ حاجي بِالمَطايا الرَواقِصِ

2. Whether I live in this world with more or less
Or depart from it with more or less, what matter?

٢. وَما عالَمي إِن عِشتُ فيهِ بِزائِدٍ
وَلا هُوَ إِن أُلقيتُ مِنهُ بِناقِصِ
